The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Akash Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), was established in the year 2023. The Department offers full-time UG programme in Mechanical Engineering. The programme is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. AIET is one of the best engineering college for Mechanical Engineering course in India. Mechanical engineering is one of the most diverse and versatile engineering fields, that combines engineering physics and mathematics principles with materials science to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. Mechanical engineers play key roles in a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, space, construction, marine, infrastructure, biotechnology, computers, electronics, mechatronics systems, energy conversion, renewable energy sources, robotics and automation, and manufacturing. Education in the field of mechanical engineering at AIET empowers the students with creative thinking skills to design and analyse the product or a system. These skills can be applied to their careers in the field of aerospace, automotive, space, construction, marine, infrastructure, biotechnology, computers, electronics, energy, renewable energy sources, robotics and automation, manufacturing and many other fields, such as medicine, consulting and management. The Department of Mechanical Engineering has state-of-the-art laboratories. These laboratories fulfill the requirements of the curriculum as prescribed by the university and also, provide additional practical knowledge to enhance their skillsets of students. Department has a well-established computer lab with latest CAD/CAE softwares.
